Alex graduated from cosmetology school in 2015- bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and ready to attack. Since then, she has continued her education and refined her skills constantly, aiming to provide high-quality aesthetic services. She specializes in eye-catching, vivid color & has roots in specialized blonding, but also loves creating shape with razor cuts and layers. She takes pride in her craft & prioritizes growth & education for the entire salon. While she’s not behind the chair or running the show, you’ll find her at home in Philadelphia with her wife Sloane, and their dogs, Dali and Cleo, and their cats, Claudia (A.K.A. Shrimp) and Pumpkin. She loves alternative drag, creating and experiencing art, horror novels and movies, black Americanos, and genuine and enthusiastic people. In addition to owning, managing and working at Baphomet Studio, she is a proud instructor for Ethos Beauty Partners, teaching continued education for hairstylists. If you’re looking for platinum blonding services, precision or razor cuts, rainbow hair, or extensions, she may be the right fit for you!

Michelle Ippolite

Michelle attended cosmetology school locally and has been licensed since 2018. She specializes in expensive-looking color and particularly likes blonding and balayage, and will always be down for big, bright projects & bold hues. She loves taking classes to further her skill set in order to provide a higher level of service. When not at work you’ll find her at home with her close-knit extended family, or attending an art market with her kiddos, Anthony & little baby Lina, & her husband, Justin. She’s a devoted Flyers fan & a dog mama too! Michelle likes the color orange, fancy coffees (with non-dairy milk… pls), longggg days at the beach, spooky stuff, 90’s grunge, and she’ll never turn down a marg!

Rachael Mele

She/Her
Rachael is bubbly and enthusiastic, and excited to make your hair your new favorite feature. She has experience in bridal styling and event hair as well as natural or vivid color, plus cuts of all sorts, making her a well-rounded choice for any project! Rach also provides beautiful makeup services and offers complimentary gender-affirming makeup lessons to the queer community with any application. She is second-in-command for Baphomet Betrothed, our wedding services division. In addition to being a great stylist, she’s also a great gal. Things you’ll come to know about her are that she loves pop, disco and funk music, true crime, Disney (she’s actually a Disney travel agent, so hit her up!), and boldly printed button-ups. Rach is fluent in American Sign Language, allowing for seamless communication with Deaf or Hard of Hearing guests who utilize ASL. She has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, and firmly believes that artistic endeavors can serve as therapy for many people.

Teresa Casañas-Cook

Teresa, or Tee, loves to laugh. She’s a little shy at first but like any other beautiful flower, it’s worth waiting for her to open up. Tee is very sweet and empathetic, and she’s the sort of person you immediately trust. The wholesome queen of Baphomet Studio; you will receive the kindest, gentlest care- but also, some really gorgeous results. Teresa has only a few years behind the chair so far, but her skills are incredibly advanced- one of those people who chose the perfect trade- it just comes naturally to her. Tee is proficient in makeup services, highlighting services, and bridal/event styling. In fact, she’s the captain of Baphomet Betrothed, our wedding services division. Not only is she great in the salon- she’s awesome outside of it, too. Her work has been published in Mob Journal, and she has worked at New York Fashion Week, as well as on set for TV productions. At home, Tee has two pups- Ham and Cheese, and a kitty named Cupcake. She’s living her best married life with her husband, Zach. You can count on her to approach every single situation, hair related or not, carefully and calmly- she thinks everything through before reacting. She rounds out our erratic, excitable team perfectly!

Faith Delia Palma

Faith is quirky, kind, and loves a sweet treat. She feels connected to nature, although she’d rather farm in a video game than in real life. A homebody through and through- if you’re lucky enough to catch her out, you’ll be charmed by her genuine smile and easy laughter. Spirituality, appreciation for vintage decor & other finds, and fun, fantastical fashion are all qualities of hers that you’ll come to note. The Hair Faerie as an instagram handle makes sense for this ethereal lil thing. Soft spoken, but still a yapper- she’d love to be friends and show you pictures of her (very cute, very orange) diabetic senior kitty, Yoda. Faith has just a few years behind the chair, but has found herself drawn to blonding and other dimensional color projects- though vivids are still fun to play with from time to time. Regardless of what project you two get into together, Faith is focused on providing great experiences and building relationships with her clientele, so you’ll always feel at home in her chair.

Colleen M.

Colleen is the newest addition to our team, but not for lack of experience- she worked for a well-known alternative salon in Philadelphia for over a decade before crossing the bridge and coming home to her Jersey crypt. Coll is incredibly talented, easy to trust, genuine and enthusiastic. Warmth radiates from her- it’s impossible to be unaffected. Specializing in alternative aesthetics, she always looks the part- accessories and clothing and makeup of which we are all envious. Colleen is a wife, a mom, an enjoyer of live music, horror, and cats. She’s happy to have retained many of her Philly regulars but looks forward to establishing her New Jersey clientele! If you’re into expert dry cuts, killer razor cuts, cool color projects, and bangs of any kind, you should make an appointment with her!

Cinder Chalfant
Apprentice – Junior Stylist

Cinder will be the first to tell you that they have been feeling like a freak on a leash since their birth in 2001. Aligning to -chaotic good- in every way possible, they keep us joyfully entertained while ensuring great guest experiences all day long. Cinder is in a transitional phase in their career- as of January 2026, they have been promoted to a junior stylist while they continue their apprenticeship. Alex is her mentor, but Cinder learns from everyone. There is one area that Cinder knows more about than any of us, and that’s curls. Having curly hair themself, it’s their area of expertise and the cutting and care of curls is their forté. When they’re not working with us at the Studio, you might find Cinder at home with her cats Concrete and The Undertaker (yes, those are names). If not there, check a local pond- they’re commonly seen attempting to befriend water birds. Also a lover of little snacks and treats, they won’t turn down dessert unless it’s chocolate- they’re allergic!

Kristyn Boegly

Kristyn has only just started her journey with us, and as our shop assistant, she’ll gain the knowledge, skill, speed, and ability of a seasoned pro in no time. Kristyn learns from everyone by watching services, asking about formulation, and helping us complete the day’s work. When not assisting on a project, you’ll see her doing the all-important work of zipping around and keeping the salon pristine, functioning at our best. Kristyn loves the band HIM, cozy games and anime. She’s a mother to a very cute little guinea pig! Kristyn loves going to concerts and hockey games and has been to more of both of those things in the last five years than most people will ever experience in their life. She’s open, friendly and personable- those traits combined with our training will make her a fantastic stylist someday!
Coral (Coco) D.
Head Nail Artist

Coco is bold, outspoken, fun and outrageously good at her job. In addition to her manager tasks as the Head Nail Artist, she also takes clients and transforms their nails into works of art. She has been licensed for some time, but has focused entirely on nails in the last five years. Coco specializes in gel-centered extension services, such as polygel, hard and soft gel manis, and gel-x. Outside of work, she loves to make tiktoks, spend time with her boyfriend, Jim, take in art in any form, and attend Lunar Faires and similar events. If you’re looking for blingy nails, meticulous application, masterful shaping and design work, and/or a friend to talk to, Coco is for you.
Coco is accepting new clients for all nail services, but she particularly excels in classy-to-dramatic nails with gems or hand-painted designs.
Amanda Wolfson

When it comes to gothic beauty, Amanda knows the way. A self-described “old-school goth,” she brings glamor and detail to every set, no matter how simple or complex. She is extraordinarily kind and smiles easily- one of those people you’ll just instantly like. They are licensed in both PA and NJ- they actually went back to school to obtain their NJ license just to work here, with us, to haunt the Jersey suburbs and decorate your claws. She loves doing 3D details, chrome and spooky designs, and acrylic is her favorite medium for nail extension. In addition to being a talented technician, they also own and operate Baby Bat Cosmetics, a vegan gothic cosmetics company- you may have met Amanda already at various conventions and fairs as a vendor! PS- you can pick up some bestsellers from her company at your next visit! If you’re looking for acrylic nails, 3D or ghoulish designs, or maximalistic nails with charms/everything but the kitchen sink, Amanda would die to do it.

Kay M.

Our very own poisonous creature (brightly colored and beautiful to draw you in, of course)! Kay is soft-spoken and warm, helpful and genuine. They can always be counted on to show up to the function in an outfit that blows everyone else out of the water. A true lover of body piercing and tattoos, they are eternally adding to themselves, decorating their earthly vessel. While not at work, they like to practice their craft on their partner, AJ, and veg out on the couch with their pug, Neville. Kay is the newest nail artist on our team, but don’t let that deter you- their abilities surpass many more experienced artists. Kay is a talented illustrator and specializes in complex, ultra-fine character art- on your nails. The fact that the subject is less than half an inch by half an inch does not matter- Kay will create depth, highlights, shadows and fine detail to make sure your art is impeccable, recognizable, and awesome. If you’re looking for intricate, stunning hand-painted art, this is the one you’ll want to see.
